our story…
The idea for bloom first started when Founder, Dr. Carissa DuPuis, felt called to create a space for patients unlike any other in healthcare. She wanted to provide her patients with a space to not only receive comprehensive, personalized, and multidisciplinary care, but also a welcoming and cozy environment that leaves you feeling empowered to live a life filled with movement and better health.
With support and encouragement from her spouse, Breen, the pair went searching for the perfect home for bloom. After spending some time in Roncesvalles and High Park, it was clear that there was no better place to call home, and with that, bloom. was born!

why “bloom.”?
When it was time to decide on the name of my business, I thought long and hard about what I wanted it to represent. I could put “chiropractic” in the name, so people knew exactly what to expect…or, I could put “Dr. DuPuis” in the name so people would know who to expect. I felt as though neither of these options truly reflected what I wanted my business name to represent.
I wanted it to represent how you FEEL, both when you’re in the space and when you leave after treatment. so many of my patients (you!) have told me that after treatment you “feel taller, more open, like you have a fresh start, a new beginning”…just like a new bloom.
“blooming” : To flourish or thrive. To mature or flourish with youth and vigor. Thriving in health.”
(Not to mention, “bloom.” opened its doors for the first time in the Spring, after months and months of preparation and growth!)
